Eligibility Requirements: In order to get admission in B.Tech programs offered by Manipal, candidate should fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
Age: MU OET has no restriction related to the age of the candidates.
Educational Qualification: The student needs to have cleared class 12, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent examination.
Minimum marks in the qualifying exam: The candidate needs to have scored at least 50% marks in Class 12 or equivalent examination.
For Lateral Entry: For admission under the lateral entry, the candidate should have 3 years Diploma in Engineering or a B.Sc. Degree with at least 45% marks.
Application Process: The complete application process for MU OET is online and the candidates are required to fill the details online, upload their documents pay the application fee and submit the documents required.
Application Fee: The candidates are required pay Rs. 1600 as application fee and the payment can be done either through Credit/Debit card, Net Banking or by Demand Draft.
- The Demand Draft needs to be in favor of Manipal University, payable at Manipal or Udupi.
- Candidates making payment using Demand Draft should send the printout of application form and the Demand draft by post to the concerned authorities in Manipal University.
Exam Pattern: The duration of the multiple choices based examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes. There will be 200 questions, carrying 1 mark each. There will be no negative marking and the score of the candidate in the exam will be displayed on the screen immediately after the exam.
Selection process: The selection of the candidates and allotment of seats will be done on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. Based on the result of MU OET, ranks will be given to students and counseling will be done on the basis of the rank of the student and the real time availability of the seats at the time of counseling.
